Before you start, ensure you are within five metres of the Telstra Smart Home Hub. You can move your sensor once it has paired with your hub.

  1. In the Telstra Smart Home app, go to Settings, My devices, Add new devices, then Door or window sensors.
  2. Tap Continue to move past the introduction, how the sensor works, and pull the tab screens. Your hub should now be in pairing mode.

  3. If you haven’t already, pull the plastic tab out of the sensor. The green light will turn on and start to blink.
  4. When the sensor appears on the screen with a green tick next to it, tap Continue.
  5. Please note, pairing mode will last for two minutes. To re-activate the device for pairing, move the magnet (the smaller part) next to the sensor and move it away again.

  6. Tap Continue to move past the congratulations screen, and then Place to view instructions for installing your sensor.

If your sensor didn’t pair the first time, you can reset your sensor to start over.
