Here’s how to install your Smart Door Lock and how to set it up once it’s installed.

Can I install the Smart Door Lock myself?

We don’t you advise to do it yourself. Instead we recommend installation by a qualified locksmith. We can arrange this for you.

How do I set up my door lock?

  1. Create your Master PIN code
    1. Touch the screen to activate
    2. Press the 1 key.  The lock will say: ‘Register Master Code’.
    3. Press the # key. The lock will say: Enter a 4 to 8-digit PIN code followed by the hash key.
    4. Enter your code followed by the # key
    5. The lock will say: ‘Registered.’

    Really important

    You can’t use the lock until you’ve set the Master PIN code. The Master PIN needs to be set upon installation or after doing a factory reset.

     

  1. Create your user PIN codes
    1. Touch the screen to activate
    2. Enter your Master PIN code followed by the # key. The lock will enter ‘Menu mode, enter number, press the # key to continue.’
    3. Enter 2 followed by the key
    4. Enter 1 followed by the # key
    5. Enter a user number followed by the # key. You can register up to 25 users.
    6. Enter a 4 to 8-digit PIN code for that user number followed by the # key
    7. To add more users press the # key, or
    8. Press the * key to finish.

How do I turn privacy mode on/off?

Privacy mode deactivates the keypad.

  1. Hold the Privacy button until it beeps four times. It’s the button under the handle on the inside.
  2. Repeat the process to turn the keypad back on.

How many chances do I get to enter my PIN?

  • If you don’t have an internet connection – 5 attempts
  • If you do have an internet connection – 10 attempts

After this, the lock won’t allow any more PIN attempts for 60 seconds. The red locking symbol will flash while the lock is shut down.

How do I use one-touch locking?

  1. Shut the door from the outside
  2. Touch the keypad
  3. The door will lock.
