This article explains how to link your Amazon Echo or Echo Dot with your Telstra Smart Home. Here’s how to do it.

Before you start

You’ll need:

  • a Smart Home Hub paired with devices such as smart lights or smart plugs
  • an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot that’s been setup via the Amazon Alexa app

To pair your Telstra Smart Home and Amazon Echo device:

  1. Open the Amazon Alexa app
  2. Select Skills
  3. Select Categories
  4. Select Smart home

  5. From the list of services, select Telstra Smart Home
  6. Select Enable

  7. You’ll be taken to a log in page
  8. Log in with the Telstra ID and password that you use for Telstra Smart Home

  9. On the next screen accept the terms
  10. Select Confirm and wait a few seconds

  11. Navigate to Smart Home and select Add device
  12. Select Discover Devices

  13. Alexa will discover your Telstra Smart Home devices. Once discovered, they will appear as Smart Home Devices and you can start using your Amazon Echo to control them.
