How do I change the name of Philips Hue light bulbs?

  1. You will need to update the names in the Phillips Hue app
  2. Then go to the Philips screen in the Telstra Smart Home app
  3. Select the resync icon

If I change a bulb name in the Hue app, will it change in the Telstra Smart Home app?

Yes. But you need to sync the two apps:

  1. Open the Telstra Smart Home app
  2. Select Partners in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen
  3. Select Philips
  4. Select the sync icon at top right

Can I choose preset lighting settings in the Telstra Smart Home app?

Yes, the Telstra Smart Home app lets you choose between the Relax, Energise, Concentrate and Read presets.

  1. Go to the Philips screen
  2. Select the slider icon next to bulb you want to change
  3. Select the preset you would like

Good to know:

  • You can’t see custom presets in the Telstra Smart Home app.

What are Philips Hue Lighting groups?

You can use lighting groups to group together all the bulbs in one room. You can then use the Telstra Smart Home app to control that lighting group.

How do I unlink my Philips Hue Lighting from my Telstra Smart Home?

  1. Open the Telstra Smart Home app
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select My Devices
  4. Select Connect Partner Devices
  5. Select Philips
  6. Select Disconnect
