The way you’ve named your Smart Light Bulb or light group may be causing confusion.

Here’s a list of possible problems and how to fix them in the Google Home app.

  1. Do two Smart Light Bulbs have similar names?
    Eg: ‘Living room light left’ and ‘Living room light right.’ Give them clearly different names like ‘Lounge light’ and ‘TV area light’.
  2. Is your Smart Light Bulb name similar or the same as a room name?
    Rename the Smart Light Bulb without words from the room name.
  3. Does your Smart Light Bulb name include numbers or special characters?
    Remove numbers and special characters from the name.
  4. Is your Smart Light Bulb connected to a lamp?
    Add the word ‘light’ to the light bulb name.
