When you connect your Telstra Smart Home to the Alexa app, your devices should automatically appear in the app. If they don’t, here are some possible reasons why.   

Your device may not work with the Alexa app

The Alexa app works with the following Telstra Smart Home devices:

  • Smart Power Plugs
  • Smart Light Bulbs
  • Smart Thermostats.

 You may have the wrong Telstra Smart Home account

  • If your Telstra Smart Home devices aren't working correctly with your Alexa app, make sure you're looking at the right account that's linked to your Amazon Echo or Echo Dot. To check this, tap the Menu button, your account information will appear at the top of the menu
  • If not, change to the Telstra Smart Home account that is linked.
