With Telstra trade-in you can trade in your old mobile phone or iPad for a credit on your Telstra bill.

Can I get paid cash instead of credit?

No. For device trade-ins, we only credit your Telstra bill, but you can choose In Store Credit to buy accessories at your nearest Telstra Branded Store.

When will I be paid?

  1. Once Brightstar has received your trade-in phone and cleared your ID, you’ll get an email confirming your payment amount
  2. You should see that payment appear within two Telstra bills after the email.

What if I haven’t been paid?

If you haven’t been paid after two bill cycles:

We’ll check your trade-in status and let you know when your payment will appear.

If I change my mind, can I get my phone back?

No. Once you’ve traded in your phone and received a confirmation email, we can’t reverse the transaction.

Why was the final payment different to the first quotation?

  • The first quotation is based on the answers you give to the questions about your phone’s condition.
  • The final quotation is based on our own inspection of the phone once we have received it, so the amount may change.
  • We’ll let you know if the final quotation amount is different.
  • If you accept the final amount, that’s what we’ll credit to your bill.

What if I’m not happy with the final Trade-In price?
