A Voice and Data Pack give you additional calls, data, SMS and MMS to use each month, for an ongoing monthly charge.
It is often a cheaper option than running your service into Extra Data, which is charged at $10 per GB.
Do I need a Voice and Data Pack?
If you’re on a Post-Paid mobile plan and find you are going over your allowance, a Voice and Data Pack can give you the extra data you need, and help you keep your monthly bills under control.
In addition to 2, 5 or 8 GB of extra data, you also get unlimited calls, SMS and MMS to Australian numbers.

Good to know:
- Voice and Data Packs only operate in Australia. They don’t cover International Direct Dialling (IDD) calls, International Roaming and Premium numbers.
- When you buy a Voice and Data Pack, Extra Data will also be applied to your account - Extra Data automatically tops-up your data at $10 per GB when you exceed your included monthly data allowance, including the Voice and Data Pack allowance.
Things you need to know
Upon activating a new Voice and Data Pack you will incur the full monthly fee for the pack, regardless of where you are in the billing month. On your next bill, you will also be billed the monthly fee for the pack in advance.
Any unused data allowance, including any Data Pack data allowance or Extra Data, expires at the end of each billing month.
Additional charges will apply for excluded usage such as calls/SMS/MMS to premium numbers (e.g. 19xx numbers), 1234, 12455, 12456 and satellite numbers, content charges and use overseas.
Calls, SMS and MMS are not shared services and are only available on devices that are compatible with these services.
