No, BigPond Movies currently only has Open Captions, and on selected titles only.

To find out if a movie or TV show has Open Captions, go to its synopsis page and look for the ‘OC’ symbol. This tells you it has Open Captions.

What are Captions?

They’re an on-screen written version of what is being said in the program. They also tell you who is talking, how they’re talking, and describe surrounding sounds and music. Captions are the same as subtitles.

Why do we need Captions?

Captions make it possible for people who are deaf or hard of hearing to experience the audio part of a program at the same time as the video.

What’s the difference between Closed and Open Captions?

Open Captions are always in view and cannot be turned off, whereas you can choose to turn off Closed Captions if you like.
