If you need a little more time to pay your bill, we can help. The easiest way to apply for a payment extension is online, and approvals usually only take a couple of minutes.
First, check your eligibility
You can request a payment extension if you:
- Have less than $2000 to pay
- Have no existing or overdue payment arrangements
- Haven’t broken a payment arrangement in the last 6 months
If you’re eligible, you can apply online now with just your phone number or account number.
Now choose an online option
There are three easy ways to request your payment extension online.
1. Use our extension request form
Just have your home number, mobile number or Telstra account number handy. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Fill out the request webform and submit
Step 2: We’ll check the details and your eligibility
Step 3: If you’re eligible, you’ll receive an email from us confirming your bill extension and your new due date. That's it.
2. Use Telstra 24x7 My Account
3. Use the Telstra 24x7® App

You can also arrange a payment extension by contacting us.
Good to know
If you arrange the extension after your bill’s due date, we may still charge you a $15 late payment fee depending on your bill circumstances.
What happens when I apply?
Once we’ve confirmed that you’re eligible, we’ll propose a new due date for your bill.
Once you accept a date, that becomes your new due date.
If you’re requesting online, you’ll see a confirmation of the date on screen.
