Come home to a warm welcome
Kate has a long commute home from work on public transport every day. On a cold winter’s day, the commute seems even longer. She’s set up the Zen Smart Thermostat to turn on her heating when she leaves the office at the same time each afternoon. When she walks in the door her home is perfectly heated every night. If she’s working late, she can also turn the heating off via the app so she doesn’t waste energy heating her home when no one’s there.
Bring your Smart Home to life
The key to having a Smart Home is creating automations. An automation is an instruction that tells a Smart Home device what to do and when to do it. It's easy to set up automations in the Telstra Smart Home App or Web Portal. For example,
- Rise and shine or come home and chill – automate your home to warm up when you get up in the morning or cool down when you get home at the end of the day
- Be energy efficient – automatically switch your heating or cooling off when you’re away. Combine it with a Narrow Beam Motion Sensor, Wide Beam Motion Sensor or Door or Window Sensor to create the perfect temperature when someone walks into a room.
