Can I locate devices with a Pre-Paid mobile service?
Yes, Telstra Pre-Paid mobile devices on your Telstra account can be located using Telstra Device Locator.
If I bring my own device to Telstra and get a SIM-only plan, can I use Telstra Device Locator on this device?
Yes, as long as the device is running either iOS or Android operating systems.
Can I locate Wi-Fi only enabled tablets?
No. Only iOS or Android devices that have a Telstra SIM enabled can be located using Telstra Device Locator.
Can I find my device using Device Locator if I don’t have a Telstra ID?
No. The Device Locator in the 24x7 app can only be used if it has been set up using a Telstra ID (account). To create a Telstra ID visit Register for a Telstra ID.
Does Telstra Device Locator work on Wi-Fi or a non-Telstra mobile network?
Device Locator works when your Telstra device is connected to the Telstra Mobile Network, a Wi-Fi network or an overseas mobile network if you have data roaming enabled.
Does Telstra Device Locator work using my IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity number) or via my SIM card?
If you remove your SIM card from your device, you'll no longer be able to locate your device using Telstra Device Locator. You'll only be able to see its last known location before you removed the SIM card.
