Choose your new phone
Paid the fee and returned your old phone to us? It’s time to choose your new device. Just sign up to a new 24 month contract and enjoy that new phone feeling.

Had an eligible phone for 12 months or longer? It’s time to redeem your New Phone Feeling offer and get a brand new device. Here’s how to do it.
Back up your phone
Avoid losing your contacts, messages and media by saving them to your computer, cloud service, SD card or external hard drive before you contact us to upgrade.
Remove all device locks
Please deactivate any locks and passcodes on your device before bringing it to us. If you have an iPhone, you should also turn off Find My iPhone. The easiest way to do this is to erase all your content and settings, which will also remove the phone from your iCloud account.
To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. For non-iOS devices, please visit our Support section.
Visit a Telstra Business Centre
Once you’ve backed up your current device and deactivated any passcodes, you’ll need to visit a Telstra Business Centre to complete the process. We’ll check the condition of your current device, then take you through the final steps needed to get your new phone.
With New Phone and Tablet Feeling, you can upgrade to new device after the first 12 months of your contract without having to pay the remaining payments on your existing contract.
To get a new phone, you must pay the one-off $149 device redemption fee, return you device in good working order (including disabling any activation and device locking features), and purchase your new device on a new and eligible 24-month device payment contract and plan.
New Phone and Tablet Feeling is automatically included as part of eligible contracts. You are under no obligation to use New Phone and Tablet Feeling. The device redemption fee will be added to your Telstra bill. We may charge you the remaining payments under your contract for your existing device if you don’t comply with the eligibility criteria.
If your device is inoperable because it’s locked, we may charge you a fee equivalent to the fair market value of the existing device as determined by us, plus any shipping costs.
