Our internet-based business-grade fibre solution, Telstra Internet Direct (TID) Adapt, connects your business to speeds once reserved for large-scale enterprises. We understand that as your business evolves, so too must the technology that keeps you connected.

Audio – music: background music starts up and continues for the duration of the video.

Introduction 0:00:06

Footage: We see a woman (Presenter) walking out of a reception area, past Telstra signage and down a hallway.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: Businesses today, need fast and reliable internet to support their day-to-day operations, their hybrid workforce, and team collaboration. But as your business grows, you might find your standard internet struggles to keep pace.

Footage: Cuts to a man sitting at his work desktop concentrating. Another woman, also working, is blurred in the background.

Audio – Presenter voiceover: In fact, what might be a minor internet annoyance today could become a major frustration down the track.

How business grade fibre is different to most standard business internet connections 0:00:25

Footage: A blue animated transition covers the screen, and disappears to reveal the Presenter. She stands in front of Telstra screens in a news-style room and presents to camera.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: That's where business grade fibre comes in. Business grade fibre is different to most standard business internet connections. Let's explore how.

Footage: Blue transition screen covers the screen and reveals an animation. Dotted lines from the Telstra logo lead to cartoon images of people working, appearing one at a time (a woman with a headset at her laptop, a food worker at the till, and a barista at the till).

Audio – Presenter voiceover: Did you know that your business network may actually be shared with residential homes and other businesses in the area?

Footage: Cut back to the news-style room with the Presenter. An animated gauge overlays the space next to her. As she speaks the dial on the gauge increases steadily to the max.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: During peak usage times you may notice delays in file sharing, slow web browsing speeds, or issues with video and audio quality.

Uncontended or low contention connections 0:00:48

Footage: Cut to animated screen. A cartoon food worker stands at the till. A dotted line appears and points to the Telstra logo at the bottom of the screen.

Audio – Presenter voiceover: With business-grade fibre, your connection is either entirely yours or shared with just a few other business users, referred to as an uncontended or low contention connection.

Footage: Cut to live action footage of a man on his laptop in an office space.

Audio – Presenter voiceover: With an uncontended or low contention connection, you'll be able to access high-speed internet, even at peak times.

Network uptime 0:01:05

Footage: Cut back to the Presenter in the news-style room.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: Another benefit of business-grade fibre is its impressive network uptime target of 99.95%. What does this mean for your business?

Footage: Cut to a montage of different people working. A doctor at her desk looking at information on her desktop and writing notes. A woman in an office having a video conference with 6 people on a large TV screen. A man and a woman looking at a screen together and talking. A conference room with an office team chatting, collaborating, and laughing.

Audio – Presenter voiceover: It means you're less likely to experience an internet outage than with a standard connection, which is so important during those crucial moments, like when you're on a client call or in the middle of sending a time-sensitive document. When you have internet that's more reliable, your employees are also more likely to stay productive, provide better service and keep your customers happy.

Symmetrical speeds 0:01:33

Footage: Cut back to the Presenter in the new-style room.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: And finally, business-grade fibre has symmetrical speeds.

Footage: Blue screen transition to an animated screen with two arrows. One arrow is blue and points up, the other arrow is orange and points down. There are also 11 blue rectangles and 11 orange rectangles, representing download speeds. When the presenter talks about slower upload speeds the blue arrow and rectangles shrink.

Audio – Presenter voiceover: That means both your upload and download speeds are the same, rather than a standard connection which has slower upload speeds.

Footage: Cut back to the Presenter in the news-style room. An animated box overlays the space next to her, depicting cartoon hands holding a tablet as a video buffers.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: If you've ever experienced a video call freezing at a critical moment of a client presentation or sat waiting for your submission to upload on a tender deadline, you'll know firsthand that slow uploads aren't just frustrating, they can impact your bottom line.

Footage: Cut to hands typing on a laptop. Then a loading screen as a file uploads.

Audio – Presenter voiceover: Symmetrical speeds mean fast uploads and downloads in the moments that matter.

Conclusion 0:02:02

Footage: The blue screen transition to the Presenter standing in a Telstra corporate space, with screens and people chatting in the background.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: As you can see, business-grade fibre is more than just standard Internet.

Footage: Cuts to the people chatting in the background of the previous shot. Then cuts to three people talking around a laptop as one person points to things on the screen.

Audio – Presenter voiceover: It's the peace of mind knowing that you've got the right internet connection to help your team thrive, so you can focus on the important work of driving your business forward.

Footage: Cuts back to the Presenter in the same Telstra space.

Audio – Presenter dialogue: Are you ready to upgrade your connection to business-grade fibre? Talk to your Telstra Business Technology Centre today and let's get solving.

Frequently asked questions

When you add Rapid Activation to your plan, we aim to connect your business within 9-15 business days in metro areas and 12-18 business days in regional areas.  The time is measured from when you submit complete and correct order information to when your service is activated using the mobile network. You must be available on site for service activation when required by us. If your order is project managed, you should consult with your project manager as delivery times may differ.

The cost of adding Rapid Activation to your business-grade fibre plan depends on your individual contract terms. For more information on plans and pricing, contact your Telstra Business Technology Centre.

The Telstra Fibre Network Termination Unit (NTU) will be installed with a 4G module so that you’ll have connectivity even before your fibre connection is delivered. This will help you get your business up and running faster.

Once your fibre connection is installed Rapid Activation converts to a Mobile Backup service with failover protection, giving you peace of mind knowing that your data service will switch connections in the event of a fibre network disruption.

Proactive service monitoring gives you proactive fault investigation, service assurance, and resolution in the event of a fibre network failure.
