How to reset your Windows 10 account password from the login screen on your computer

Ever gone on holiday and come back to realise you've forgotten your passwords? Or maybe you regularly change passwords to help keep your accounts secure.

Windows 10 devices have been configured with a cloud-based Microsoft Account sign-in that you access via the internet. It's an easy and convenient way to reset your Windows account password directly from the login screen of your computer.

Because your account and device settings are stored in the cloud, you can use the same sign-in for multiple Windows devices like your desktop computer, tablet and smartphone, and Microsoft services like OneDrive, Skype and Office 365.

Note that if you do not use a Microsoft Account, it will be denoted as being a Local Account so the instructions on this video won’t apply.
