Telstra is keeping you online

We just wanted to let you know that your fixed network connection is currently unavailable, so your Telstra Smart Modem has automatically switched to our mobile network to help keep you online. If your landline phone is affected and you need it urgently, please message us.

Switch back to the Telstra fixed network

There are a few things to tick off so you can switch back to the fixed network.

  • Check that the cables to your Telstra Smart Modem are all firmly in place
  • Turn your modem off and turn it on again – sometimes this is all that is needed for it to reconnect
  • Check that your ONLINE indicator is green – it may take up to 5 minutes after the reboot 

Modem light still not green?

A magenta or blue light means your modem is still connected to the Telstra mobile network. This could mean there’s a potential issue with your service that’s preventing it from switching back to the fixed network.
