An eSIM, or embedded-SIM, is a digital SIM that’s built into a compatible device, unlike a physical SIM card which needs to be inserted into a device.

When you order an eSIM-ready Telstra mobile plan, we’ll send you a QR code to scan with your eSIM-enabled phone. This downloads your eSIM profile so that you can connect to our mobile network.

This plan includes access to Telstra’s 4G, 4GX and 3G networks. Please note, it does NOT include access to our 5G network.

To access the 5G network, you can take up a Medium, Large or Extra Large plan.

When you exceed your allowance, you can continue to access data and your speed will be capped at 1.5Mbps. This is typically suitable to stream video in standard definition, listen to music, browse the web and access social media (though some content may take longer to load). It isn’t suitable for HD video, or high speed applications.

Your speed will depend on a range of factors including your device, location, user numbers and download sources and may be slowed further during busy periods. Heavy data users (users in the top 1% of all data users) may experience slower speeds than other users during busy periods. For personal use in Australia only. FairPlay policy applies.

Stream live AFL, AFLW, NRL, Netball, A-League this 2020 season, fast and data-free. Excludes NRL Grand Final & State of Origin. AFL, AFLW and NRL live games are limited to a 7” viewing size. When you take up this plan, you can get a new mobile number or transfer your current number to Telstra. Monthly credit will be applied from your first bill.

Telstra One Number is a subscription service that allows you to connect a secondary device, such as a cellular-enabled smart watch, to the Telstra mobile network.

eSIM is currently unavailable on upfront plans. 

This plan includes 30 minutes of calls from Australia to standard numbers in all destinations. Once you’ve used your 30mins of included calls, you can then add an International Calling Pack to receive additional call minutes to selected destinations. If you don’t add an International Calling Pack or if your destination isn’t included in the calling packs, you will be unable to call this destination until your call inclusions reset next month.

You will continue to have unlimited standard international SMS/MMS from Australia to all destinations, even once your 30 minutes of calls has been used.

This plan can’t be used to make calls or send SMS or MMS to premium numbers such as 1900 numbers and some satellite numbers.

As you won’t receive a monthly bill for this plan, you won’t be able to take up our trade in offer in conjunction with this plan.

AutoPay is our new payment method. With AutoPay, you set up automatic monthly payments using your nominated bank account, or credit or debit card.

Your first payment will be charged as soon as you take up your new service in the checkout. After that, your payment will be charged on the same date each month.
