Information about the service
This service allows you to upgrade your leased phone twice in a 12 month period, regardless of damage, for a flat fee of $190 when you sign up to a new 24-month phone and service plan.
To be eligible for Mobile Swap Assure you must:
- Take up Mobile Swap Assure on the same day as your Device Lease Contract (DLC) and Mobile Lease plan.
- Lease an eligible device on a 24-month DLC with one of the following plans:
- Mobile Lease plan $59
- Mobile Lease plan $79
- Mobile Lease plan $99
- Mobile Lease plan $129
- Ultimate Mobile Lease plan $199
You can only have one Mobile Swap Assure device on each of your eligible mobile service plans.
- Minimum term
There’s no fixed or minimum term and you can cancel this service anytime.
- Upgrading your device
You may upgrade your device two times in each 12 month period of your Mobile Lease plan. At any time during your DLC, any remaining payments for your existing device will be waived if you:
- terminate your existing DLC;
- upgrade to a new eligible mobile device on a new 24-month eligible device contract and service plan;
- agree to pay the upgrade fee on your next bill; and
- return your existing device to us within 14 days of entering into a new 24-month eligible device and service plan.
Information about pricing
- Your minimum monthly charge
$10 – will be charged monthly until either:
- you cancel Mobile Swap Assure; or
- we cancel Mobile Swap Assure for you.
If you are on a Ultimate Mobile Lease plan, you will not be charged this monthly fee.
- Upgrade fees
Regardless of damage, you can upgrade your leased handset to a new eligible handset at any time, provided you terminate your existing DLC, return the leased handset to us within 14 days of entering into a new 24-month eligible handset and mobile service plan and pay an upgrade fee of $190.
If you upgrade your device after the first 12 months of your DLC and your phone is in good working order, you’ll only pay $99.
At the end of your minimum term if you get to the end of your lease, you must return your leased device to us or you may offer to purchase it for fair market value (advised to you at the time). If at the end of your lease, you return your leased device damaged, we will charge you a fee of $190.
- Returning your device
Your SIM card must be removed and the device reset to factory settings so that personal or confidential information is deleted. All activation/locking features must be disabled (eg Find My iPhone).
- Cancelling Mobile Swap Assure
You can cancel Mobile Swap Assure at any time but may be subject to the relevant standard fees and charges associated with cancelling your Device Lease Contract.
