What's Included

As part of this service you will receive access to our Telstra Business Cyber Security Service over the phone and through online chat, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service provides support and advice for the following:

 

SECURITY & PROTECTION

  • Cyber Security On-Boarding service call and we offer over the phone assessment to help protect your business (maximum one per month and 4 in a 12 month period)
  • Cyber Security Health check report issued after assessments to help protect your business.
  • Anti-virus software setup
  • Settings and privacy setup
  • Microsoft Office recovery
  • Malicious software removal
  • Network security support/guidance and configuration
  • Security – Ability to assist with setup and configuration of firewalls, end point protect, backup and recovery plan
  • Servers - Ability to diagnose issues with servers and assist with remote configuration
  • Email updates on security advice

 

BACK-UP AND RECOVERY

Setup, assistance and advice with: 

  • Cloud storage 
  • Data storage (transfer limits should not exceed 50GB)

  • Access to Telstra Internet Protect Mail and Internet Protection Web services (Internet Protection) to increase your baseline security and help guard against a range of security risks
  • Preconfigured policies to help protect you against common threats
  • Access to policy management and reporting portal to tailor the service to your needs
  • Assistance with setup, configuration and reporting
What's Not Included
  • Telstra Business Cyber Security Service is not available for some devices and software. The cost of any software/hardware is not included in the price of the service and you are responsible for any data charges.
  • In store and on-premises support not included as part of this service
  • Telstra is unable to unlock devices affected by encryption based ransom ware
  • This service excludes general support and advice for non-security related IT issues
  • Customers must have a registered domain name for Internet Protection mail to be configured
  • Anything else not described above in "What's Included"

Information about the service

This service offers a month to month subscription to 24/7 online chat and over-the-phone security support for most connected devices.

Security report

As part of this offer, we will provide a security assessment and a report including recommendations (limit of once per month and max 4 per year). The report provides advice only, and the report and recommendations must not be relied upon as an alternative to advice from a qualified professional and you should ensure you monitor your own practices and investigations.

Telstra Internet Protection

  • The Internet Protection service aims to provide security features for your email and web traffic  We don’t promise to detect or block all spam, viruses, malware or other harmful programming. Some legitimate email messages may get identified as spam. We don’t guarantee that the Internet Protection service or platform will be free from intrusions, viruses, Trojan horses, worms or other similar harmful programming routines.
  • This service will be cancelled upon the cancellation of your monthly Telstra Business Cyber Security Service subscription. 
  • You must have a registered domain name to use Internet Protection Mail.
  • Telstra Internet Protection does not activate upon being subscribed to Telstra Business Cyber Security Services. To activate, call 13 70 55 or book an onboarding or assessment over the phone to start using Internet Protection Mail and Internet Protection Web.

Bill Payment Charges

Your first bill will appear on paper. After the first bill, all other bills will be sent via email. You can request a paper bill at no extra cost if required.

Understanding my bill

You’re billed in advance for the minimum monthly charge, and in arrears for any usage not included in your plan. Your first bill will be higher if you start your plan part way through a billing period.

If your account number is 13 characters long, or you only have a mobile service with us, you will be billed in advance. If you do not fit this criteria, you will be billed in arrears.
