Keeping our customers connected
We’re giving post-paid personal and small business customers additional data, and offering unlimited standard home phone calls for pensioners, as part of our response to Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to help our customers stay connected.
Register for 25GB of extra data
All our personal and small business post-paid mobile and mobile broadband customers can register for an extra 25GB of data at no extra charge - to use in Australia within 30 days if they register by 30 June 2020. You can register via the My Telstra app and the data will be available within 48 hours. We’ll send you an SMS when it’s been applied. The data will expire after 30 days but you can apply for another 25GB of data up until 30 June 2020.
Please note mobile broadband customers will not receive an SMS. You won’t see the extra data on your bill, but it will appear in your app usage information.
Stay connected while looking for work
We're offering a discount for our eligible consumer and small business customers currently receiving the JobSeeker payment, to relieve some of the burden.
If you have a Telstra fixed bundle service and/or multiple Telstra post-paid mobile services you may receive a single $20 per month discount off your total bill for six months, while those with a single Telstra post-paid mobile service may receive a $10 per month discount off their bill for six months.
The offer will be open to apply for from 20 April until 30 June 2020, unless extended.
Connected Family internet offer
We want to help everyone at home stay connected. That’s why we're offering discounted internet for 12 months to eligible low income families with school-aged children.
You can apply for the offer if you're receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A or Part B, and you haven't connected to the nbn with another carrier in the last 3 months. Customers already on a Telstra internet plan can also apply. The offer will be available until 30 June 2020, unless extended
Supporting health care workers
Health care staff are working long and hard to keep us safe. We're offering a priority service to make it quicker and easier for them to reach the Telstra team.
Enjoy unlimited data at home
From Thursday 19 March until 30 June 2020, we’re providing unlimited data for our personal and small business customers with home broadband plans (ADSL, nbn and cable).
You don’t need to do anything. The data will be provided automatically, at no extra charge.
Your data usage won’t be counted during this time, but keep in mind you won’t see the extra data on your bill. Our FairPlay policy applies.
No late fees
We aren’t charging late fees for bills that become overdue between Thursday 19 March and Tuesday 30 June 2020. Late payment fees may apply for bills that become overdue before 19 March 2020, or after 30 June 2020.
If a bill comes in and it's going to be hard to pay, we can help. We offer flexible payment options if you're experiencing difficulties.
Make unlimited calls
If you’re a pensioner and have a home phone plan with us, you’ll be able to make unlimited local, national and 13/1300 calls, and calls to Australian mobiles, from your home phone in Australia from 19 March until 30 June 2020.
You don’t need to do anything, unlimited calls will be automatically applied. You’ll see $0 for these calls on your bill and in the app.
