What is Priority Assistance?
Priority Assistance® is a service to help eligible customers who have (or are living with someone who has) a diagnosed life threatening medical condition, and whose life may be at risk without access to a fully operational phone service if they don’t have access to a working phone line service.
Priority Assistance® covers one home phone line only, and doesn’t apply to internet services or mobile phones.

TELEPHONE SERVICE TRANSFER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you want to switch your existing telephone service to us, you’ll need to agree to these terms and conditions.
- You must be the account holder of the telephone number and service to be switched to Telstra, or authorised to act on behalf of the account holder and have their consent to make these changes.
- You request Telstra to switch that telephone number, the telephone service for that number and, if applicable, the line associated with that service, from your current telephone service provider to Telstra and then connect the selected Telstra plan, where possible.
- Telstra may refuse to switch your service to Telstra if, on the basis of a credit assessment of you, we reasonably consider that you will pose an unacceptably high credit risk.
- You authorise your current provider to release you from your current arrangement with them and to provide information relating to your account and telephone number to Telstra as required for the purposes of the transfer.
- You authorise Telstra to act on your behalf with respect to the transfer of the service and, if applicable, the line associated with that services.
- Your telephone number will remain active with your current provider and you must contact them in relation to faults and service until your transfer to Telstra is completed.
- If your service is already connected to the Telstra network, your telephone number above will be transferred with their current status (e.g. call barring). If your telephone number is being transferred from another network, ADSL or other services associated with your telephone number may be disconnected, resulting in finalisation of your current provider’s account for those services.
- Some unbilled charges from your current provider may appear on your Telstra bill.
- These terms relate to your transfer to Telstra and not to the service provided by your current provider. It is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions of any existing contracts with your current provider relevant to the service being transferred to Telstra as there may be consequences arising from this transfer. For example:
- your current provider’s account for that service may be finalised and you may be required to pay them an early termination fee; or
- a specific service provided by your current provider may not be available after the transfer.
ADSL BROADBAND TRANSFER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you want to switch your existing ADSL broadband service to Telstra, you’ll need to agree to these terms and conditions.
- You must be the account holder of the ADSL service listed above, or are authorised by the account holder to transfer this service to Telstra.
- Please ensure that the information provided in this form is true and correct.
- You authorise us to act on your behalf to transfer your ADSL service.
- We will supply your ADSL service from the date the transfer takes place and we will notify you when that happens.
- You may experience an outage in your ADSL service of up to 4 hours whilst the transfer takes place.
- Until the transfer takes place your ADSL service will remain active with your current provider and you will need to contact your current provider about any faults with your service.
- If you require ongoing technical support for your ADSL modem you will need to contact us to check whether we can provide that support.
- You must pay us for all charges associated with the service from the date this transfer takes place.
- You will still be responsible to your current provider for any charges incurred and/or billed up to the date the transfer takes place.
- It is your responsibility to check the terms of your contract with your current ADSL service provider, and pay charges you incur under your current contract, until the transfer occurs and any termination fees.

If you want to sign up for this bundle, you'll need to agree to these terms and conditions:
- If you're an exisitng bundle customer with more than 90 days remaining on your plan term a $50 early recontract fee may apply.
- Telstra Bundles plans are incompatible with most other offers - including Combo Rewards. These will be removed from your account.
- If your current bundle is an invitation only plan or is no longer available for new sales, you will not be able to change back to that bundle.
- If you are cancelling a Foxtel from Telstra service as part of your bundle change, you will have to pay an early termination charge of up to $300 for your Foxtel from Telstra service.

- Super Fast Speed Boost can provide speeds up to 100/5 Mbps into the home.
Shaping
Broadband speeds will be shaped to 256 kbps once your monthly usage allowance has been exceeded. Both metered and unmetered content will be shaped once you reach your monthly usage allowance. If you add a Speed Boost while your internet speed is shaped, the Speed Boost won't unshape or increase your speed until your next bill, and the Speed Boost charge will apply.
Home Broadband data top-ups three times a year
For the odd occasion that you reach your monthly data allowance, your internet speed is shaped and you don't want to upgrade your bundle, Telstra gives you 'Three for Free' Home Broadband Data Top-Ups every year - Getting you back up to speed.

Directory Listing
We offer you two directory listing options.
1. Standard Listing.
Your details will be published in the printed and online White Pages and available via Directory Assistance, and your Caller ID will be visible when you call others.
2. Silent Line.
Silent Line is Telstra's private number service. Having a Silent Line prevents your name, address and telephone number from being published in the printed and online White Pages directories, and from being available through Directory Assistance. Your phone number is blocked, so that when you call others they won't be able to see your number. Silent Line will not block all telemarketing or unwanted calls. Find out more
If your name, address and telephone number are already published in the White Pages, it may take up to 48 hours to remove your details from the online White Pages and Directory Assistance, and they will remain in the printed White Pages until the next issue.
If you're concerned that others may have access to your phone number, we recommend that you change it.
Coverage Map
With a Telstra Smart Modem™, you can get internet access, even if your fixed line is unavailable. The inbuilt mobile technology provides a backup data connection with a maximum download speed of 12Mbps. You’ll need to be in a 4G coverage area. Use this map as a guide to see if you can get the full benefits of the modem.

Customers should be aware that the Telstra mobile coverage maps displayed have been created using tools that predict the likely areas of coverage. Not every particular location within the identified coverage areas has been individually tested for coverage. This means that while the footprint of coverage outlined on the maps is generally accurate, there will be specific areas described as being within a coverage area where a customer's device will not work. This is a common characteristic of wireless systems. For example, coverage could be degraded or not existent in specific locations due to certain physical structures or geographic features or as a result of the device used. Physical structures which may block or inhibit coverage could include basements, lifts, underground car parks, concrete buildings, tunnels and road cuttings. Geographic features which may block or inhibit coverage could include formations such as hills and mountains or even trees.
Customers should also be aware the Telstra mobile coverage maps also may indicate planned coverage expansions of the Telstra mobile network. Coverage planned for the future is based on Telstra's rollout schedule. Telstra reserves the right to modify this schedule without notice, as required from time to time.
Data speeds experienced on Telstra's mobile networks may be affected by network availability, the type and configuration of customer equipment, the performance of external networks (for example the Internet), the signal strength of the device used and other factors such as the type of application.

Self Install
We offer the option to connect to the nbn™ network if you're confident with installing your own devices and if your home set-up is fairly simple. You're eligible for a self install if you match the following description:
- Self Install will only work if your nbn™ connection box is within 1.8 metres of where you want your phone and broadband/Wi-Fi to be located. So when nbn™ arrive to install your nbn™ connection box, please ensure they install it exactly where you want to use phone and broadband (see our Getting it Right guide for more information). Otherwise you'll need one of our technicians to run extra cables for you.
- You don't have multiple phone outlets/wall sockets in your house that you want to be activated on the nbn™ network (patch panels are an exception)
- You do not have a security or medical alarm
- You do not currently have a fax, EFTPOS, Multi-number service or equipment issued under Telstra's Disability Equipment program
- You're not a Priority Assist customer
- This option may not be available in your location. We will contact you to confirm availability.
If you order Self Install, but are not eligible, you may need a technician to help you connect and charges will apply.
Professional Install
A Telstra Professional Install involves a home visit from a skilled technician (including nbn™ service install check) to help you connect your devices and services to the nbn™ network. A $240 fee for standard professional install may apply. Additional costs will apply if you have complex cabling requirements.
Terms & Conditions
Telstra voice services on the nbn network
We’ll provide you with a fixed voice service which works through your Telstra gateway. It won’t include battery backup. If your power goes out your service won’t work and you’ll be unable to make calls from your home phone, including calls to '000'.
Services on the nbn network
By requesting your broadband and voice services be moved to the nbn network, you’re consenting to the installation of services on the nbn network on behalf of all account holders at your premises.
Activation of services on the nbn network will result in the permanent disconnection of any existing voice, broadband or other services supplied over your phone line. Once connected to the nbn network, you can’t move your services back.
nbn™ Speed Tier
Your Bundle includes our Fast nbn Broadband. You can add Speed Boost to increase your broadband speed.
Speed boosts are month to month and can be cancelled at anytime.
If you're not happy with the performance of your Speed Boost within the first 3 months, you can contact us and we will move you to a lower speed tier and credit back any Speed Boost charges.
For FTTN or FTTB customers, we can't confirm your maximum speed until your service is installed and activated on the nbn network. Once your service is activated on the nbn network, we will check your maximum speed, and if you're not benefiting from the Speed Boost, we will automatically move your service to a lower speed tier and credit back any Speed Boost charges.
