What happens during installation?
Find out what to expect at an installation of a service delivered to your home on the nbn™ fibre network.
nbn™ network installation process
We arrange an nbn™ technician to install equipment outside and inside your home. On the day of installation, someone over 18, whose name is on the account must be home to approve the location. If you're renting, seek approval from your landlord before getting it installed.
nbn™ equipment for fibre to the premises
An nbn™ utility box will be installed outside your home in an easy to access area, and an nbn™ connection box will be installed inside. It needs to be installed, near a power point, in a dry, dust-free area and close to where you want your new Gateway.
