Foxtel from Telstra has today introduced dramatic package and price changes set to give more Australians access to premium entertainment.
The new prices see Telstra’s new Entertainer Supreme Bundles launch today with an unprecedented number of Foxtel from Telstra bundle options aimed at satisfying Australian families’ thirst for entertainment in the home across multiple devices.
The Entertainer Supreme Bundles include premium Foxtel channels, a world-class Wi-Fi modem for new home broadband customers for up to three times faster home Wi-Fi than the previous model when using AC compatible devices.
All Entertainer Supreme Bundles include an IQHD set top box providing customers the ability to pause and rewind live TV and record multiple programs simultaneously.
Eric Kearley, Telstra Director Pay TV and IPTV said the Entertainer Supreme Bundle catered to the trend of Australian families “triple-screening” their entertainment in the home.
“Our research has shown that families are increasingly triple-screening: they are consuming content not just on television but increasingly on tablets, smartphones and laptops, often at the same time*,” Kearley said.
“Our new Entertainer Supreme Bundles provide Aussie families with the ultimate entertainment package to enjoy on multiple devices throughout the home and on-the-go, at great prices.
“We’re making premium entertainment affordable for Australian families who might have previously thought it’s out of their price range.
“The combination of premium Foxtel content, superfast broadband and the reliability of Telstra’s fixed and mobile network ensures our customers will get more out of their home entertainment across multiple devices.”
Telstra’s new Entertainer Supreme Bundles also include access to Foxtel GO – for on-the-go streaming of selected Foxtel channels on compatible smartphones, tablets and laptop devices (data charges apply).
Kearley said the consumption of content in the home was increasing at a rapid rate.
“We’ve found that 56% of connected smartphone users will multitask while enjoying entertainment, such such as researching an actor on a smartphone while watching a movie on television.*
“Our BigPond Movies service has seen an 11% increase in movie rentals over the past year.
“That’s why the Entertainer Supreme Bundles represent such value – they deliver premium content to multiple devices for affordable prices.”
All Entertainer Supreme Bundles include:
- 40+ premium Foxtel from Telstra channels
- IQHD set top box – featuring the ability to record and rewind live TV, as well as Look-Back
