Your mobile contacts, calendar events and tasks are stored on Telstra secure servers, so they're fully backed up once syncing occurs1. If you ever lose your mobile, that's all you lose.

Instantly update all your contacts,calendar and tasks to your mobile, simply by opening MySync on your compatible Telstra Next G™ mobile.

We automatically back up your phone's native address book once a day, or you can manually sync at any time. To synchronise your contacts saved on your SIM, copy these to your phone's address book. They will then be synchronised with the secure server.

Subscribe and set up MySync

First check if your mobile handset is compatible.

There are two quick and easy ways to subscribe and set up MySync on your compatible Telstra Next G™ handset.

1. To subscribe to MySync, open this link and enter your mobile number.

  • We'll send an SMS with the link to MySync on your handset.
  • Open the MySync link in the SMS.
  • Then follow the setup instructions on your phone's browser.

2. Setup using the Telstra MyPlace menu.

Just click on MyPlace on your mobile phone, select MySync and follow the instructions.

You can only subscribe to MySync by downloading the application to your phone. Once it's activated, you'll be able to manage your settings via the MySync application or you can sign up online for MyInbox to manage MySync.

Once you've set up MySync, you'll be able to change your sync settings, check your sync history and more.

Just open the Mysync application on your mobile. Use the options on the main screen, or access additional information via "Options".

Managing MySync online

You can access your MySync mobile contacts, calendar events and tasks online by signing up for MyInbox. Just link your Telstra mobile with your compatible BigPond® or Telstra email address. If you don't have a BigPond or Telstra email address yet, we will provide you with one.

  1. The type of data you can sync (ie. Contact, calendar and tasks) is subject to handset capabilities. See handset capability details here. Only handset (not SIM) information can be synced. Your mobile phone must be switched on with coverage to sync.
  2. One trial per customer. You must tell us before the end of your first month if you don't want to use MySync.
  3. MyInbox is a http site and any address book data edited online via MyInbox will not be encrypted.
