At a movie, in a meeting or at dinner with friends...sometimes it's just not convenient to listen to your voice messages. With Voice2Text, you can get your voice messages without dialling into your MessageBank®.

With Telstra's Voice2Text service, voice messages received in your MessageBank will automatically be converted to text and sent to you as an SMS, so you're always in the know. You can read the message and call or text back when it's convenient.

And best of all, Voice2Text works with any mobile that can receive text messages.

Telstra's Voice2Text is: 

  1. Discreet - no need to dial and wait for MessageBank to listen to your messages.
  2. Time saving and convenient - Voice2Text messages come from the caller's number, so you can call or text back straight away (unless the number is withheld). There's also no need to write down phone numbers anymore as the number will appear in the text message. You can simply click on the number in the message to call the person back or send an SMS.
  3. Easy - you only have to activate Voice2Text once. It works with your existing MessageBank service and is available on Telstra 2G, 3G and Next G™ services.
  4. Versatile - need to check the tone of a message? You can still listen to your voice messages by dialling 101 as you normally would.

Pricing

Choose the Voice2Text pack that will best suit your needs based on the number of messages you think you may receive per month1. You can easily switch packs from one month to the next if your usage patterns change. Voice2Text charges are in addition to your standard MessageBank costs.

When you subscribe to one of the Voice2Text packs, you will automatically receive your first month usage free2 (including monthly charge and usage charges above the monthly included messages). At the end of the introductory offer you'll automatically move to the monthly Voice2Text pack you have selected.

Things you need to know
  1. You will be charged for all converted and partially converted messages i.e. you are charged for 1 message despite its length (up to 3 concatenated SMS) including long messages and notifications of non-converted messages, whether or not the text is delivered or received. Voice2Text will replace your standard 101 notifications and any other messaging service you may have, other than MessageBank. Unused included messages expire monthly.
  2. The introductory offer is available to each new customer who selects a Voice2Text Pack. Offer available once, per customer. Offer expires after 30 days. Standard MessageBank charges apply to MessageBank usage during the introductory offer period.
  3. Calls to this number will be charged at your standard mobile plan rate. We can't guarantee that the message will be correctly translated and we are not responsible for the content of the message. On average it should take around 3.5 minutes for text message notification to be received but in some instances it can take up to 20 minutes.
  4. In some instances, we may use a third party agent to assist in the translation of individual words or small portions of a voice message.
