How to send a text message

    
  1. Scroll through your mobile phone menu and access 'Messages' or 'Mail'.
  2. Select the option to create a message (refer to your phone menu) and key in your message.
  3. Key in the phone number and press 'Send'.

Your mobile phone does the rest, including confirming that your message has been sent. Remember that some mobile phones might have a different order of doing things, so check your user guide.

Ezy ways to uz text messaging

With Predictive Text Input (PTI) or (T9), text messaging is faster than ever. An in-built dictionary allows the phone to predict the most likely word as you type. So all you need to do is start typing and let your mobile device do the rest. Consult your phone manual or manufacturer if you want to turn this feature off.

Pricing

For standard national SMS text messages up to 160 characters, the cost varies up to 25 cents to send and free to receive².

The cost of a 160 character text message originating in Australia and sent to an international number is 50 cents.
