Getting started with Telstra Pre-Paid
Getting started is easy on Pre-Paid; no fixed term contracts to sign and you decide what you want to spend in advance and there are of course no bills.
STEP 1: Purchase a Telstra Pre-Paid Starter Kit

Your new Telstra Pre-Paid mobile comes with $10 included credit to use in 14 days (excludes some use).

Select one of our Telstra Pre-Paid Starter Kits available online or from any Telstra store or
participating dealer.
STEP 2: Activate your SIM and start using it today
When you activate your new mobile service you’ll be prompted to choose one of our great Pre-Paid offers with Recharge Bonuses. You’ll also need to provide us with ID.
STEP 3: Make a recharge
Recharge when and where it suits you using one of our many payment options. For example you can use your debit or credit card to recharge straight from your mobile or computer. Don’t worry if you don’t have a debit or credit card; there are plenty of other options to choose from.
Our Pre-Paid SIM Starter Kits are now compatible with most mobile, mobile broadband and tablet devices and include:

If you are bringing your own device to Telstra Pre-Paid, be sure to check that your device is Next G® compatible so that you can enjoy the full benefits of Telstra Pre-Paid. After 31 August 2012, 3G 2100MHz only devices will not be able to access 3G services and internet browsing will be slower. Check your device compatibility and find more information.
If you’ve got a mobile number that you would like to keep from another service provider, we’ll arrange this for you – this can currently only be done in a Telstra store.
