IP Remote Standard Dialler
This section is intended for your organisation's IT support
group or IT administrator. Please consult your IT Support group
or IT Administrator before attempting to install the IP Remote
Dialler software.
If you wish to use the IP Remote Dialler for Global Roaming
please ensure that your organisation has Global Roaming activated
for your IP Remote service. You would have received an IP Remote
Global Roaming Confirmation Advice confirming that Global Roaming
has been activated.
If your organisation wishes to have Global Roaming activated
for their existing IP Remote service please go to the Fast
Feature Network Changes portal.
For new customers, please contact your Telstra Account representative.
Supported Platforms
Currently, the supported platforms are Windows 98, Windows 98SE,
Windows ME, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Customers who are SecurID users and are on Windows 95, 98 (including
98SE), ME and NT4 will need to upgrade to Windows 2000 or XP
in order to connect to the IP Remote Global Roaming service
via the IP Remote Dialler.
Important Note for Dialler Updates
Your organisation will need to open their corporate firewall
to allow end users to update the Dialler through the Telstra
website, where the Telstra global phonebook and configuration
files will be located. Please note the end user will receive
a Corporate Firewall Security Alert everytime there is an IP
Remote Dialler Update required.
Step 1: Download the IP Remote Dialler User Guide
Download and read the IP Remote User guide in Portable Document
Format (PDF) by clicking on the document icon below. The User
Guide provides detailed instructions on installing the IP Remote
Dialler

Step 2: Download the IP Remote Standard Dialler installation
package
Download the IP Remote Standard Dialler (telstraau realm) installation package by clicking on the following link: IP
Remote Standard Installation package (exe file, 14MB)
Download the IP Remote Standard Dialler (IP Evo - telstra realm) installation package by clicking on the following link: IP Remote Standard installation package (IP Evo - exe file, 14MB)
You can either choose to Save the installer package or Open
it immediately.
Step 3: Install the IP Remote Standard Dialler software
Once download completes, the installer should start running.
If you saved the installer to disk, locate the saved file and
double click on it to run . You will be taken through the installation
wizard to install the Dialler software. As part of the installation
wizard, you will be required to accept the terms of the Licence
Agreement. If you do not accept the Licence Agreement, you will
not be able to continue installing the IP Remote Dialler.
Step 4: Start using IP Remote Dialler
You can now start using the IP Remote Dialler. Please ensure
that you update the phonebook after you activate the Dialler
to ensure that the Latest Global Phonebook is downloaded before
you go overseas. You should also read the IP
Remote Dialler User Guide, which will provide you instructions
on using the IP Remote Dialler.
Telstra provides this software to your organisation as a dial
up tool solely for use with the Telstra IP Remote offering.

This section is intended for your organisation's IT support
group or IT administrator. Please do not attempt to install
this IP Remote Dialler software before consulting your IT Support
group or IT Administrator.
If you wish to use the IP Remote Dialler for Global Roaming,
please ensure that your organisation has Global Roaming activated
for your IP Remote service. You would have received an IP Remote
Global Roaming Confirmation Advice confirming that Global Roaming

You can either choose to Save the installer package or Open
it immediately.
Step 3: Customise the IP Remote Dialler
Once the download completes, the installer should start running.
If you saved the installer to disk, located the saved file and

wizard to install the Dialler software. As part of the installation
wizard, you will be required to accept the terms of the Licence
Agreement. If you do not accept the Licence Agreement, you will

Remote Dialler to meet your organisation's corporate policies.
Please read the IP Remote Administrator Guide, which will provide
you with step by step instructions on customisation of the Dialler.
Please ensure that you update the phonebook after you activate
the Dialler to ensure that the Latest Global Phonebook is downloaded
before you are go overseas.
Step 4: Install the IP Remote Customable Dialler on your
end user's laptops
Once you have completed customisation of the IP Remote Dialler,
you would install the customised IP Remote Dialler to your end
user's laptops. Please ensure that you provide the IP Remote
User Guide to your end users. Download the IP Remote User Guide

Terms of use
Telstra provides the IP Remote Dialler software to your organisation
as a dial up tool solely for use with the IP Remote offering.
Your organisation and end users' use of the IP Remote Dialler
software is subject to the Licence Agreement that you must accept
as a pre-condition to installing IP Remote Dialler.
Please note that IP Remote Dialler does not constitute part
of the IP Remote service. Unavailability of the IP Remote Dialler
will not be regarded as Unavailability of the IP Remote service.
Telstra will assist customer's to support and maintain the IP
Remote Dialler in certain circumstances, but support and maintenance
will not be provided under the service assurance levels offered
for the IP Remote service.

The latest list of global POPs (Points of Presence) and Telephone
numbers (also known as access numbers) are available by downloading
the IP Remote Global Roaming POP lists attached in the files
below.

* Toll Free Access enables an end user, when travelling overseas,
to access their corporate network through IP Remote. There should
be no charge to the end user for making the call, however there
are some overseas carriers that may charge a local call fee
and some hotels may also impose call charges on the end user.
Please note that IP Remote usage charges will still apply and
will be charged to the organisation providing the IP Remote
service to the end user. For Toll Free Access, IP Remote usage
charges are charged to the customer at a higher rate than for
Non Toll Free Access. For full details of the IP Remote Global
Roaming Toll Free Charges, please refer to the IP Solutions
section of Our
Customer Terms.
