Using Telecard® with Modems
Dial 18918 (or FREECALL 1800 051 818¹) or the number appropriate to the country you are visiting.
- enter a series of pauses in the form of commas (eg..,,,,,) approximately 7-8
- enter your eight digit Telecard number and four digit PIN followed by #
- again enter a series of pauses in the form of commas approximately 7-8
- if calling form overseas you must press 1. Again enter a series of pauses in the form of commas approximately 4-5
- to call within Australia, enter the modem number, including the area code, followed by #
- to call a modem overseas, start with 0011
- alternatively you can use the Abbreviated Dialling feature or Last Number Redial feature
- activate your computer to send.
Note: It is recommended that you check your modem manufacturer's instructions and software protocol for transferring computer data. You may have to experiment with the amount of pauses you are required to insert between numbers.
