Fax Messaging
Stay informed on important developments by using fax messaging on your card's personal mailbox number.
Setting up your fax messaging service
Contact Customer Service on FREECALL™ 1800 616 606 (a free call from most fixed phones within Australia) and request a fax mailbox number for your PhoneAway® card.
Please note: It is recommended you set up your voice mailbox first if you wish to have both voice and fax messaging available.
When setting up your fax mailbox, you can ask the Customer Service operator to make your fax mailbox number the same as your voice mailbox number. An automatic prompt will advise you have new messages, the next time you use your PhoneAway card.
Leaving and Retrieving Messages
To enable family, friends and business associates to leave you fax messages, give them the access number 1300 652 013 (or 61 2 92118564 if calling from overseas) and your 6-digit fax mailbox number.
When they call the number to send a fax message, voice prompts will guide them to enter your mailbox number and send their fax. Please note, the sending fax machine needs to be set to tone dial, and the volume must be set so that voice prompts are heard.
To access your new fax messages, simply select the fax messaging option (*3 under the options menu) and follow the instructions, including entering the number of the receiving fax machine.
This fax number should include the full area code if accessing within Australia, or the 0011 international access code, country code and area code if accessing from overseas.
