How to call between overseas countries
This facility enables you to make calls between various international destinations.¹
- Dial the access number for the country you are in
- Select from one of the language options. Press 1 for English.
- Enter your 12-digit PhoneAway card number.
- Then (as if calling overseas from Australia) enter:
- 0011 (International access code)
- The number you wish to call - including the overseas country code, area code and local number. - To make another call (follow-on calling), simply wait until the other person hangs up OR press # followed by * key for an immediate follow-on call.

Telstra PhoneAway works with most touchtone phones, however if a touchtone phone is not available, the call will connect to an operator who will assist you in placing your call.

- Wait for second dial tone after dialling 00.
