Women in Leadership Roles – the specific challenges they face
Telstra Business sponsored the 2007 FINSIA Women in Financial Services Breakfast on the 8th of November, 2007 in Sydney.
Elizabeth Aris, Executive Director for Telstra Business and Margaret Lomas the Founder of Destiny Financial Solutions, presented to a strong contingent of women across Sydney.
The breakfast was a fabulous networking opportunity for attendees, who were left feeling inspired and energised.

Inteflora National Conference – Alice Springs
Telstra Business was one of the principal sponsors of the 53rd Annual Interflora Conference held in Alice Springs from the 20th to the 24th of October 2007. The Interflora Australia franchise represents 1300 independent florist shops throughout Australia. Each year the florists come together to participate in various business seminars, floral competitions and to network with one another.
The 200 Florists escaped the 38 degree heat by attending the Telstra display, where they played with everything from Next G™ mobile broadband devices, Blackberry® handsets, Smart Phones through to range a of Next G™ handsets. As part of Telstra sponsorship for the event, Interflora Account Executive Bill Asimakidis and Franchise & Association Development Specialist, Mellissa Ryan gave a formal presentation titled the "Building Blocks to boost your Business" during the business sessions at the event. The audience also watched the Next IP video and the Florists were thrilled to hear about a future where they will be able to stay in bed, avoiding their 4am treks to the flower markets.

NSW Business Chamber Awards
On Friday 23rd November, Telstra Business and Telstra Country Wide sponsored the Annual NSW Business Chamber Awards Dinner at the Sydney Convention Centre.
500 chamber members and business owners from Sydney and regional NSW attended this awards night and the evening proved a great success.
