GoJet
"We need to have access to the internet. In addition, the technical support is exceptional. The Next G™ network – it's fantastic."
– Luke King, GoJet
GoJet takes to the skies with the Telstra Next G™ network
A combination of high speed aircraft and super-fast internet access through the Telstra Next G™ network gives business jet charter start-up GoJet a competitive edge that is winning over Australia's high flying executives.
As part of its service to busy executives, GoJet provides Telstra Next G™ wireless cards for internet access before and after flights. Its pilots use the Next G™ network to access passenger lists, flight plans and the latest weather information.
The sky's the limit for GoJet
GoJet targets high-end corporate fliers and uses cutting-edge communication and information technology to meet the needs of highly mobile corporate clients who travel the country at short notice.
The company's fleet is based at Wollongong Airport in NSW, and ranges from turboprop executive aircraft through to business jets. GoJet's experienced pilots are equally at home at major city airports and dirt airstrips in the outback.
Sales and Marketing Manager Luke King said GoJet offered a boutique business jet charter service, supported by the latest communication and web-based technologies.
GoJet's innovations include:
- Frequent flyer cards that allow clients to purchase bulk hours on GoJet aircraft and simply swipe a card to board a flight
- A fully automated online client management system
- SMS notification of seats available on 'empty leg' flights where aircraft travel without passengers
- Fractional ownership offering half or quarter shares in GoJet aircraft
- Information, advice and financial planning for existing and potential aircraft owners to maximise the benefits of owning a business jet.
Telstra Next G™ network: an essential part of innovative service
As part of the service, GoJet gives customers Telstra Next G™ wireless data cards to use in their own laptops while waiting for flights and at their destinations. For executives who travel light, GoJet can loan them laptops complete with Next G™ cards.
GoJet pilots use Next G™ cards and i-mate™ handsets to remain in contact with head office. Prior to departure, they use the Next G™ network to access passenger lists, review flight plans and check weather details.
"We are a brand new company that offers an exclusive boutique service where we cater for everything," said King. "The key to our market differentiation is the Next G™ network.
"The Next G™ network provides the coverage. If we fly senior executives to Cairns or Dubbo, they can send email off before they leave, and pick up replies when they land.
"We need to have access to the internet. In addition, the technical support is exceptional.
"The Next G™ network – it's fantastic."
