Telstra has upgraded the Next G™ network to achieve even faster mobile broadband speeds on Australia's largest and fastest national mobile broadband network.
You can now upgrade your Telstra Turbo device from 3.6Mbps to a peak rating of 7.2Mbps on supported operating systems.# You could experience typical speeds of 550Kbps–3Mbps~, bursting up to 6Mbps in some areas using our free^ firmware upgrade.
To upgrade your Telstra Turbo mobile broadband device, follow these four simple steps:
- Identify your device from the list below
- Click to open the upgrade instructions
- Download the upgrade software and extract the ZIP file to your hard drive
- Follow the simple upgrade instructions to install the upgrade firmware

Things you need to know
# The upgrade firmware is not compatible with Mac OS or the Telstra Turbo Card (MF332) running on 32-bit Windows Vista. If you are running your Telstra Turbo mobile broadband device on Mac OS operating system you can upgrade some devices on a Windows PC. When the upgrade is complete, the device will be enabled to take advantage of the increased speed on Mac OS with the latest Connection Manager installed. If you have a Telstra Turbo Card (MF332) on a 32-bit Windows Vista system you will need to upgrade your device on a PC running Windows XP and install the latest Connection Manager. Refer to the upgrade instructions for your device for further information.
