The Enterprise Mobile Broadband Plus service is uniquely designed to help your staff maintain simple, yet secure remote access to your enterprise network, through a range of access networks and to a variety of different devices.
Overview
This service enables remote laptop users to connect securely to an enterprise network while on the go. It also provides smartphone and tablet users access to enterprise networks through the iPass Global Roaming Footprint1.
The Enterprise Mobile Broadband Plus service allows internet access to users over the Telstra Next G® network, which provides fast speeds from more locations in Australia2 and provides internet access to users over the iPass Global Roaming Footprint1.
iPass is a class-leading application provider for remote connectivity and laptop device management. The iPass Mobile Network provides secure authentication across partner networks for laptop, smartphone and tablet fleets, including:
- More than 1 Million Wi-Fi hotspots on Partner Networks and Ethernet in participating hotels, in 116 countries and territories globally, comprising of:
- WiFi hotspots 90% coverage of passenger volume within the Top 100 airports and a total of 2,618 + airports
- Over 56,000+ hotel hotspots
- Over 61,000+ iPass validated OpenAccess Wi-Fi locations (OpenAccess gives users instant access to the iPass validated Wi-Fi hotspots without the need to present user credentials)
- Over 140 WiFi network operators connected

Secure connectivity to enterprise network
Offering secure universal connectivity management for laptop users, Telstra Open Mobile™ Client is a lightweight, universal connection manager that works across various data devices and networks, including the Telstra Next G® network, Wi-Fi hotspots, fixed Ethernet1 and dial-up1 connections.
It’s also available on a range of smartphones and tablets, where users can access the iPass Wi-Fi Hotspots on Partner Networks across 116 countries to help avoid incurring international roaming charges2.
With the EMB+ service, smartphone and tablet users can also separately access their enterprise network using the Telstra Next G® network while in Australia.
Online reporting for laptop users
The Enterprise Mobile Broadband Plus service has online reporting facilities for laptop users so you can view and monitor detailed data related to connection attempts, including problems and errors encountered using the Telstra Open Mobile™ Portal. This enables monitoring of session lengths, types of access, device information and locations from where remote access users are connected.
Some services on the Telstra Open Mobile™ Portal may be available for smartphones and tablets when users access the iPass Global Wi-Fi network footprint. Check with your Account Executive for further details.
Single connection manager for laptop users
It allows remote connection to enterprise networks for laptop users, just as if remote access laptop users were at their office desks.
Domestic and global roaming access
The Enterprise Mobile Broadband Plus service also allows internet access to users on the Telstra Next G® network which provides fast speeds from more locations in Australia*. It also provides internet access to users over the iPass Global Roaming Footprint3 which includes Wi-Fi Hotspots on partner networks, Ethernet in participating hotels and dial-up access1 in Australia and various overseas locations.

You can enjoy a single Telstra point of contact for all queries relating to your Enterprise Mobile Broadband Plus service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Things you need to know
- Dial-up service call charges apply.
- International Roaming: It is important that you monitor at all times which network you are on when roaming overseas as your mobile device may switch between networks. If you do not wish to incur International Roaming charges while roaming overseas you must turn off overseas roaming on your device before heading overseas.
