Reconnection needing a technician visit If your premises had a phone service before, but a Telstra technician needs to come and reconnect the existing suitable cabling at the main distribution frame (MDF) or at the first socket if there’s no MDF. Reconnection needing a technician visit and new cabling If your premises had a phone service before, but a Telstra technician needs to come and install or work on the cabling to the main distribution frame (MDF) or at the first socket if there’s no MDF. Connection charge for each additional service connected at the same time (same premises, same customer).
Temporary connection charge applies if your phone service is connected for three months or less. If you cancel your service within three months, you will need to pay the $100 difference between the Standard and Temporary Connection charges.
Additional charges may apply for items such as: cabling past the main distribution frame (MDF) or first socket where no MDF exists; trenching; or more difficult installations.
