Things you need to know

  1. 4G speeds are initially available in all capital CBDs, associated airports and selected regional areas. Capital CBD means within 5kms of the GPO of a capital city and within 3KM from the town centre for regional locations. Speeds vary due to factors such as distance from the base station, local conditions, user numbers, hardware and software configuration and download source/upload destination. Check coverage areas. Outside 4G areas, typical download speeds of 1.1Mbps to 20Mbps are available in all capitals and many metropolitan and regional locations. In remaining metropolitan areas and other selected regional areas typical download speeds of 550Kbps to 8Mbps are available. Refer to the mobile data speed coverage maps for predicted speeds at a location.
  2. Next G® coverage and performance depends on your location, device and whether you are using an external antenna.
  3. Speeds slowed to 64kbps once usage limit reached.
