Here are the recommended technical specifications for viewing a Telstra webcast.

Hardware

Windows

  • Microsoft Windows®: 98SE, 2000, Millennium Edition, XP Home Edition, XP Professional, or Vista
  • 128 megabytes (Mb) of RAM
  • Broadband internet connection or access to a high-speed network
  • Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution
  • 16 bit sound card
  • speakers/headphones.

Macintosh

  • Mac OSX
  • 256 megabytes (Mb) of RAM
  • Broadband internet connection or access to a high-speed network
  • Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution
  • speakers/headphones.

Software

  • Streaming: Windows Media Player Version 9 or above.
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 6, Safari 1.2, Firefox 1, Opera 7.51 or above.

Downloading Windows Media Player

  1. Ensure your computer meets the Windows Media Player system requirements.
  2. Go to the Microsoft Windows Media Player Download web page.
  3. Click the 'Download Now' button and follow the steps.
  4. When prompted, save the program onto your local disk and wait for the download. Take note of the file name and the directory you are saving it to.    
  5. Once the download is complete, locate the file and double click it to run the installation program.
  6. Once installation is complete, visit the Media Webcast page to test the player is installed correctly.
