Webcast Help
Here are the recommended technical specifications for viewing a Telstra webcast.
Hardware
Windows
- Microsoft Windows®: 98SE, 2000, Millennium Edition, XP Home Edition, XP Professional, or Vista
- 128 megabytes (Mb) of RAM
- Broadband internet connection or access to a high-speed network
- Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution
- 16 bit sound card

Macintosh
- Mac OSX
- 256 megabytes (Mb) of RAM
- Broadband internet connection or access to a high-speed network
- Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution
- speakers/headphones.
Software
- Streaming: Windows Media Player Version 9 or above.
- Browser: Internet Explorer 6, Safari 1.2, Firefox 1, Opera 7.51 or above.
Downloading Windows Media Player
- Ensure your computer meets the Windows Media Player system requirements.
- Go to the Microsoft Windows Media Player Download web page.
- Click the 'Download Now' button and follow the steps.
- When prompted, save the program onto your local disk and wait for the download. Take note of the file name and the directory you are saving it to.
- Once the download is complete, locate the file and double click it to run the installation program.
- Once installation is complete, visit the Media Webcast page to test the player is installed correctly.
