World's fastest mobile broadband device now in stores
Australian businesses are set to receive a boost to productivity with the in-store launch for business of the world's fastest mobile broadband device - the Next G™ Turbo 21 Modem - at Telstra shops and dealers across the country.
The Next G™ Turbo 21 Modem is up to four times faster than competitor mobile broadband devices in Australia with typical download speeds ranging from 550kbps to 8Mbps which means business customers can process emails, download attachments and browse the web on the move far faster than ever before.
Telstra Business Group Managing Director Deena Shiff said the new Next G™ Turbo 21 Modem would help keepAustralia's small and medium-size businesses at the forefrontof innovation.

It has underpinned a shift to mobile working and has resulted in the introduction of new labour-saving wireless devices making the smart-phone a must have accessory," Ms Shiff said."The productivity gains are significant and have been documented. The launch today of the Turbo 21 Modem in Telstra's retail outlets follows the successful roll out of the device to several thousand Telstra business customers last month. One customer who trialled the new device is John Naylerwho runs an online information business, ChannelWhitsunday.com from his yacht off the north Queensland coast.
"Iwas able to load a video onto the internet in minutes while driving north of Rockhampton," Mr Nayler said. "The combination of coverage, speed and ability to process many things at once while on the move is invaluable to my business."
Telstra will also this week be making available a new Telstra information service to help customers understand the various broadband technologies offered by Telstra, how they differ and the typical internet speeds customers will experience under various circumstances. The new service will be available under the Internet' tab on www.telstra.com.

Telstra will next month launch a BigPond 21 device for Australian consumers.
