BigPond scores Indian cricket tour
Telstra BigPond has given cricket fans a new reason to cheer after announcing the much anticipated Australian tour of India will be available live and exclusive on Telstra Next G™ mobile phones.
The tour of India, from 9 October to 9 November 2008, follows a thrilling and controversial Indian tour of Australia earlier this year where the rivalry between world cricket's top two nations reached new heights.
Telstra Media Group Managing Director, Mr Justin Milne, said BigPond customers would have exclusive and uninterrupted coverage of the tests in Bangalore, Mohali, Dehli and Nagpur Tests through BigPond's special Indian versus Australia Tour Package.
"With the a touch of the BigPond button on Telstra Next G™ mobile phones, fans will be able to see every minute of India's attempt to take revenge on the Australians after their 2-1 series loss last time around," Mr Milne said.
This year the Test matches will be played from 3pm AEST onwards, which means if you are stuck in a meeting, having a coffee break, waiting for the bus or unwinding on your commute home, you won't have to miss a minute of the Indian Test series.

As part of the Indian Tour Package BigPond will also make available all highlights coverage of each day's play during the 4 Test matches as produced by FOX SPORTS. The test matches will be played on:
- Test 1: 9 - 13 October in Bangalore;
- Test 2: 17 - 21 October in Mohali;
- Test 3: 29 October - 2 November in Delhi; and
- Test 4: 5 - 9 November in Nagpur.
BigPond is already home to Australia's most popular sports, including AFL, NRL and V8 Supercars and Horse Racing Action pack. BigPond also has a dedicated weekend sports programme, BigPond Sports Weekend, which streams 18 hours of live sports coverage across Saturday and Sunday, online and on mobile.
