Telstra Innovation Challenge
The Telstra Innovation Challenge looks for new projects that will potentially provide a benefit to Australian consumers or businesses and will be enhanced by support from Telstra.
Submissions are assessed via a set of criteria to ensure relevance to Telstra and benefit to the wider community.
For the first time in 2011, Telstra offered The People’s Choice category, dedicated to 'Innovation for Disaster Assistance' designed to assist communities before, during or after a natural disaster. Members of the public vote on this special category to determine the winner.
Projects selected for support under the Telstra Innovation Challenge Program have the potential to access a wide range of benefits that Telstra is well placed to offer.
These may include:
- access to Telstra products, services and networks to build and trial projects
- access to Telstra internal subject matter experts
- facilitated introduction to Telstra's technical and commercial partners
- external exposure of projects through joint PR initiatives
- other support appropriate to each project.
