Telstra’s Historical Collection includes a variety of telecommunications equipment and archival documentation. The Collection is cared for by a dedicated team of volunteers and is housed at museums in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
The collection, accumulated over more than 50 years, contains items developed and used across Australia as part of the Postmaster-General’s (PMG) Department, Telecom and Telstra, and is a valuable corporate asset and rich resource for the Australian public.
Our volunteer groups continue to catalogue and rationalise the collection.
To organise a tour of one of the museums, please contact the appropriate museum directly for an appointment. The museum can organise tours for school groups, historical clubs and interested individuals
