About Telstra

Recycling

Do you love owning the latest mobile technology but you're not sure what to do with all the old equipment that is gathering dust? The answer is simple - recycle it!

Over 90 per cent of the materials in old mobile phones can be recovered, including gold, copper, silver, nickel, cadmium and plastics. These resources can then be used in the creation of new and exciting products. With more than 16 million old mobile phones currently hidden away in drawers and cupboards all over Australia, that's a lot of valuable resources we can recycle to help protect our planet.

Telstra is an enthusiastic participant in MobileMuster the official recycling program for the mobile industry.

Any Telstra Shop will accept your old mobile handset, batteries and accessories for recycling
